FINSEC Project - Kick off Meeting Press Release

MODENA, 05/06/2018 – The FINSEC (Integrated Framework for Predictive and Collaborative Security of Financial Infrastructures) research project – funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme, and aimed at improving cybersecurity in the financial sector– has been officially launched in Brussels.
Banks and financial institutions have always been among the most attractive targets for malicious and criminal organisations. The advent of the Internet further exacerbated this phenomenon, extending it to an ever-greater dimension, with 1.06 million of cyber-attacks detected in 2016 against the banking sector alone.
